As usual, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will conduct the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday. He may, however, shy away from players who might want to give him a big hug.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed Thursday that Goodell is just three weeks removed from back surgery. While it is not expected to hinder his ability to run the draft, his recovery is such that he might not be able to be manhandled by potential draft prospects.

Presumably, draftees have been made aware of this and we are highly unlikely to see any scenes like this on stage in Detroit.
Goodell doing the draft three weeks after surgery is fairly impressive in itself. Obviously, he is feeling better if he is able to pull it off.
